Taken in December 2002 in Norfolk Square, Glossop, I've
included this picture to show how dedicated we are, and to
remind all the band members not to complain about it being too
hot during our summer gigs!
|
The next few photos were taken on July 13th at Tameside Canal
Festival, Portland Basin, Ashton-under-Lyne. We got this cute
little mound to stand on, which was nearly but not quite big
enough!

There was a piper in full Highland rig playing, and we
persuaded him to jam with us - eat your heart out Mac Umba!

This was a charity event in aid of
Willow Wood Hospice,
which provides care for terminally ill people.

The following day, July 13th we played at Saddleworth Show, and
it was scorching (and we were too!). Danny (the dancer) kept
going depite the sweltering heat.
|
During our second set we had to compete with a sheepdog handler
who was augmenting his already loud dog whistle by blowing it
through the PA! As Laszlo uses whistle cues to keep us all in
step, things could have become a little confusing...

A kindly St. Johns Ambulance man makes running repairs to one
of our more decrepit band members - All together now - Aaaahh,
the poor dear, did he hurt his finger?
|
Never one to pass up a chance to impress the ladies, Danny
steps out with some of his younger female admirers.

Danny says "How low can you go?"
|
We were cookin' in every sense of the word!

Also at the Saddleworth Show were a school steel band. After
they finished playing, Danny showed them the finer points of
Samba dance.
|
We also went busking in Oldham, and in this picture Laszlo seems
to be coming up with a new use for a Timba - as headgear!

The first gig of our 2004 season, at a May-day festival in
Belper. The weather gods were kind, and we had a good audience
- the street was narrow so they couldn't get away :-)
|
Stockport Carnival 2005. We got to play on a float, before playing at
the carnival field.

Stockport Carnival 2005.

Hadfield Carnival 2006. Joined by a young group from Poynton (wearing
black), complete with saxophone for the Samba Reggae. This was the last
set when everyone had gone home.
